Chapter 8[]
Cyan is recruited in Capta Est Tower. Terra and Shadow find a mark of Doma engraved in the ground, and believe he is around. They find him after defeating a Magitek Armor.
Lost Chapter: The Power of Valor[]
After the warriors of light recruit Cater to their ranks, Cyan accompanies her and Yuna as they search for a torsion in a forest. Cater sights an Ahriman, but is unable to hit it, and it escapes. She decides with Yuna and Cyan to regroup, but the Ahriman returns with allies. When Cyan suggests they retreat against the larger force, Cater draws her pistol to buy them time. Yuna refuses to leave her behind as Cyan retreats to summon reinforcements.
Heeding Cyan's call, Zell and Terra come to their aid, and the warriors defeat the group of Ahrimans and discuss whether Yuna and Cater should have fallen back. Cater argues that it was important to hold the line, although Cyan is concerned about what might have happened if they had been overrun. Cater becomes conflicted; Yuna, siding with Cyan, encourages her not to push herself too hard for others' sake. Terra reminds Cater that her intuition had been right, and that she had bought the other warriors time to organize a defense.
Intersecting Wills: A Bouquet of Thoughts and Feelings[]
A group led by Aerith returns to the airship with a wagon full of flowers in tow when Cyan, along with Celes and Sabin, are drawn to her displays. All of them find flowers that are deeply meaningful to them; Cyan finds ones of the kind he used to make and send to Lola, the woman from Maranda for whom Cyan had impersonated her deceased boyfriend in letters to assuage and defer her grief. Aerith explains to all the warriors present that their wills created these flowers and imparted within them the desire that they be returned to them; to this, Vanille, who had also come to see what was going on, tells Aerith that this explains why the experience makes her feel complete.

Allusions[]
- Cyan is recruited after being knocked loose from a rogue machine resembling a Magitek Armor, alluding to his clumsiness piloting the original in in his homeworld.
- Cyan cannot use his LD until his overhead Bushido Gauge is filled, which is how he would originally execute any of his moves; Bushido would be greatly simplified in the 2014 and all later versions of Final Fantasy VI.
