The status decreases an enemy's keep by 15, making it more likely to recoil and have their attacks interrupted. The ability has an ATB cost of 40 at level 1, with the lowest ATB cost at level 5 decreasing to 20.

Like its single target predecessor, Cursega has a set potency of 0.20 at all levels. Cursega does not naturally have access to potency increases through synthesis passives, but its potency can also be further increased by equipping rapier weapons and the Skeleton's Earrings accessories. Like other ailment abilities, Cursega has no stagger power, meaning it cannot increase or stabilize an enemy's stagger wave.

Use[]

If players choose to use Cursega, it is best used when dealing with multiple foes in normal encounters, along with Imperil. Players should opt to use both spells at the start of each encounter and refresh the debuff after several turns, due to the Curse status increasing the chances of enemy interruptions caused by the lower elemental resistances. Due to its locked weaker potency and shorter debuff duration, it is recommended to have equipped to a defense-oriented schema, or their secondary combat set. In addition, because to its natural lower debuff timer, choosing to use the default Curse spell over its group-wide version is an adequate substitute.
