Curley uses Life 2, so take him out first. He's weak vs. ice, so Ice 3 is sure to bring victory.
Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
Curlax, also known as Curley, is a boss from Final Fantasy VI. He, Laragorn, and Moebius make up the Three Dream Stooges fought at the end of Cyan Garamonde's Dreamscape.
Stats[]
Battle[]
The three stooges can cast Delta Attack when all three are present, which inflicts Petrify on a target and never misses. The only way to block it is to be immune to petrify. Curlax will use several irritating status spells on the party, and if hit by magic four times, casts Reflect on himself. He should be the first to die, as he uses Arise to revive his dead siblings. The Dream Stooges bug stops Curlax from reviving the other stooges.
Strategy[]
Equipping Ribbons and Jeweled Rings is advised to block petrify. Blizzaga and Flare spells work well against Curlax, who should be the player's first target. He is also vulnerable to Sleep. An easy win to defeat the brothers is to cast Ultima.

Etymology[]
In the Japanese version, Curlax is named Rêve, which is French for "dream".
in the original SNES English translation, he was simply called "Curley", likely named after Three Stooges performer Curly Howard. Later translations added a fantastical-looking "-ax" suffix that can be found in works of science fiction.
