Crystal Bangle is the strongest armor available to buy, being an upgrade to the Diamond Bangle. It possesses six Materia slots, all linked in pairs, making it a strong contender for Support Materia. If the player still wishes to level up Materia faster, it is advised to stick with the Rune Armlet instead. The Crystal Bangle is not the strongest armor, however, as the player can obtain the Adaman Bangle at any time from stealing from the Adamantaimai at the beaches in the Wutai Area. In addition, the player can steal the Warrior Bangle from Eagle Gun which possesses strong Defense and a decent Strength boost, but with two fewer Materia slots and no Materia growth. The Fourth Bracelet can also be obtained around this time, which provides vastly superior defenses as well as a decent Magic boost.
Crystal Bangle can be used for defense if the player did not pick up the Fire Armlet, Aurora Armlet, or Bolt Armlet prior to reaching Mideel.
