Blizzara Blade, an ice-elemental physical attack.
The following is a list of elements in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. The game features much fewer elements than the original Final Fantasy VII, with three main elements that are not classically "opposed" in the Fire↔Ice Lightning↔Water Wind↔Earth sort of manner. Gravity represents fractional damage, of which enemies may be immune to.
Mechanics[]
Zack gains various means to imbue his attacks with the available elements, as well as protect himself, via the materia system and accessories. More than one element can be imbued into Zack's attack at the same time, and he can also resist against multiple elements at once. Elemental attacks may be physical or magical in nature, thus further affected by Digital Mind Wave rolls and Barrier or MBarrier.
The player can change materia's elemental properties in Materia Fusion. The elemental magic materia can be used to deal elemental damage in battle, and to link with support materia. The series's typical tiered spells are joined by "dark" and "hell" versions that inflict ailments to targets in addition to dealing elemental damage. Many elemental physical abilities can also be used via command materia. Digital Mind Wave abilities are non-elemental, even the summons.
Enemies and Zack can be neutral toward (100% damage), resistant to (50% damage), immune to (0% damage), weak to (200% damage), or absorbent (-100% damage) of elemental damage. Enemies' elemental affinities are fixed whereas Zack's are neutral unless changed with materia and/or accessories. This is not the only way to avoid damage from elemental attacks, however, as perfectly dodging or guarding can avoid spell damage.

Gravity[]
Gravity is a pseudo-element as enemies are only immune to or not toward it, and Zack is neutral toward it. Gravity abilities deal damage proportional to the target's HP.
Bosses are immune to Gravity.
