The Cripshay is a rare enemy from Final Fantasy VII, which resembles a small stag beetle with humanoid features. It is fought in the Train Graveyard and in the third round of the Battle Square before the player obtains Tiny Bronco. When fought in the Battle Square its stats are enhanced with double the normal HP and its Attack and Magic Attack are increased by 25%.
It only uses two physical attacks, which inflict minor damage. It has low HP, and thus poses little threat to the party. If the player is running low on HP at the Train Graveyard, finding and defeating these enemies can provide with a supply of Potions, which can also be stolen.

Etymology[]
Its Japanese name may derive from the English words "clip" (クリップ, kurippu?) and "shave" (シェイブ, sheibu?) in reference to its scissor-shaped horns. The first part of its name may alternatively derive from the English word "crypt" (クリプト, kuriputo?) in reference to it being encountered in a graveyard-type area.
