The copper used to make this cuirass makes it quite heavy, though it offers better protection than its counterpart made of leather. It is also no match for the durability of anything similar made of iron or mythril. Soldiers often use this piece of armor during their training for protection, as well as to train their bodies to support its weight. In other occasions, new recruits are sometimes teased by being made to carry a large number of these at a time.

Description
Copper Cuirass is a low-ranked armor that provides 5 Defense, -5% Evasion, 5% Magic Defense, and -1 Spr/Int. It can be bought for 100 gil (200 gil in the NES/PSX versions) at Poft and Paloom.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[]
Bronze Breastplate is a low-ranked armor that provides 4 Defense, 2 Magic Defense, 5% Evasion, and 1% Magic Evasion. It is initially equipped on Monk A and Monk B, and others can be bought for 450 gil at Fabul, Troia, Mysidia, Damcyan, Kaipo, and Baron, or found in Tower of Trials (Edge's Tale). It can be equipped by everyone except Calca and Brina.
