The Control glitch is exclusive to the North American and Japanese Finest Fantasy for Advance release of Final Fantasy V. This glitch requires one of Drink, Mix, Throw, and one of Thief Knife, Steal or Control. Using Thief Knife or !Steal allows for replicating the SNES version's infinite items glitch. Using !Control with a character in the fourth party member slot allows a different set of items to be obtained, such as obtaining 255 Hermes Sandals in Bartz's world, which can be sold for 6.1 million gil and leave enough for four sandals for the party. Other items that can be obtained this way from different enemies include Maximillian, Ragnarok, Masamune, Dragon Fang, Dark Matter, and Excalibur.
