Command Materia from FFVII Remake

Command materia icon.

Command materia is one of five categories of materia in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It is used for to equip command abilities. All spells require MP to use. Command materia can be linked with Support Materia Support Materia.

Much like command materia in Final Fantasy VII Remake, much of the materia are similar to the Command Materia in Final Fantasy VII, although Rebirth includes new additions.

Allows you to restore your own HP and cure Poison with Chakra. The amount restored is relative to damage received—the lower your HP, the more that is restored.

Find: Defeat velociwings in the prologue (does not carry over to ch.2)
2 Use Assess on all targets 300
Allows you to view enemy info with Assess.

Allows you to take items from enemies with Steal.
Morph Materia Morph 1 Use Morph 0 Purchase: Chadley in Grasslands for 10 & 20 data points
Allows you to turn enemies into items with Morph. Enemies whose health has fallen below a certain amount can be defeated in this fashion.

Allows you to absorb an ally's limit gauge to fill your own with Limit Siphon.
Spare Change Materia Spare Change 1 Use Spare Change 0 Purchase: Chadley for 5 data points in Meridian Ocean
Find: Nibel mountain path in ch.1 (does not carry over to ch.2)
Allows you to consume gil to damage enemies with Spare Change. The more gil you throw, the more damage you will deal to your targets.

Can randomly use a spell from any of your current party members in a fight.

Etymology[]

Materia means "matter" or "substance" in Latin, Spanish, and Italian; it also means "subject" in Italian and Spanish, and is the root of Portuguese "Matéria".
