Strategy[]
The mission starts when the cadets enter the town of Toguagh.
- Downtown Toguagh
The cadets meet two Martinets. After downing them they can continue to the next area.
- Toguagh Square
Colonel Faith in his MA appears accompanied by Martinets. He is quick, but stops for some of his attacks: the machine gun fire and the missiles, with Breaksight strike opportunities during them. If the cadets deplete all of his health, the mission proceeds to the final area. If they fail, Faith will take off and the party must pursue him. The player can choose to let him go to prolong the mission to do the unique special orders and find the items on the map.
The map has an area highlighted designating the spots where the party can find Faith. Along the way the cadets will battle Militesi Coeurls, Martinets, Autoturrets and Nomads. There are four unique SOs, one being in the final area.
To do all of the SOs in this mission, as soon as the cadets encounter Faith, they should bypass him, and take the north exit to Back Alley. There is an item here in the southeastern corner (Ether/First Aid Kit). From here the cadets should go west to Suzaku Square, and west again to Gillia Bridge.
- Gillia Bridge
The SO in this area is to ambush Faith. After defeating the enemies here (Martinets and Militesi Coeurls) and waiting, Faith eventually appears completing the SO and earning a Megalixir. It may take minutes for him to appear, and when he does, he will be flanked by more Martinets and Militesi Coeurls. The party doesn't need to engage him however, and for the next SO, the cadets should head north.
- City Square
This area has a commanding officer piloting a Nymurod (Major Bryant) alongside respawning Martinets and Nomads. The cadets can concentrate on the CO to quickly finish the area's SO, which is to clear the ambush, yielding a Phoenix Pinion. There is an item (Elixir on Officer difficulty; X-Ether on Agito difficulty) on the elevated platform behind the CO.
For the next SO, the cadets should go north to Memorial Square, and then head east to Yuzurita Promenade, and east again to Nishikigi Bridge. To get the last item from the map, the cadets can immediately head north to Yuzurita Promenade, and find it (Elixir/Support Serum in Officer difficulty; X-Ether in Agito difficulty) from the north end, then return to Nishikigi Bridge to wait for Faith if he isn't already there.
- Nishikigi Bridge
Faith is quick but when he stops he will attack leaving himself open for a Breaksight. To complete the area's SO the player should stay locked on and hopefully score a quick hit the right moment to yield a U2-Shock Damper. After Faith's HP has been depleted, the cadets are taken to the final mission area.
- Occupational Headquarters
The cadets must fight waves of imperial troops for five minutes, including Warriors, Imperial Troopers, and Colossi. The area's SO to defeat 20 enemies, which should be easy, yielding Diamond Fists weapon for Eight. The timer expiring completes the mission.
Rubicus[]
- Tem. IX – Colonel Faith's Revolt
The dominion succeeded in liberating Eibon, but it failed to take out the empire's top gun: Colonel Faith. After a violent confrontation at Eibon, Faith escaped his pursuers and took refuge in the surrounding woods until the dominion legions withdrew. He promptly leapt to his feet as soon as the coast was clear and initiated an uprising. Faith seized the town of Toguagh, where he and his men began preparations for their retreat to Milites.
Dismayed to hear the recently recovered Toguagh had once again fallen into the empire's clutches, the commandant quickly considered plans to destroy the legions and prevent Faith's repatriation. However, after some consideration, he determined that the main army, currently stationed along the imperial border, would not make it back in time to halt the colonel's retreat. Thus, he chose to dispatch a battle-ready cadet task force. Faced with fierce opposition from the imperial forces, the cadets succeeded in freeing Toguagh, but Faith once again eluded his would-be captors, and the mission ended in failure.
