The Collapsed Sector 7 Plate is divided by level.
40M Above Ground Level
Visited at the start during "A Broken City", this level is divided into the Business District, a linear path, and the Distillation Tower 1 - 1F at the end.
At the Business District, a few non-player characters are located around the Business District, and dialogue can be overheard when passing them. While walking through the district, buildings will collapse. A Neighborhood Watch Member is found at the end of the path, just before reaching the Distillation Tower.
At Distillation Tower 1 - 1F, a bench and vending machine are located, along with a tower to 45M Above Ground Level.
45M Above Ground Level
Comprises only Distillation Tower 2 - 2F, a short path. Along the path, byobapolises are fought. At southeast end is a ladder up to Distillation Tower 2 - 3F at 55M Above Ground Level, while the north end has a ladder down to Distillation Tower 1 - 1F at 40M Above Ground Level.
55M Above Ground Level
Split into two short areas: Distillation Tower 2 - 3F and Distillation Tower 1 - 3F. Both of these are circular walkways on the side of the towers. Distillation Tower 2 - 3F has a ladder up to 65M Above Ground Level, while Distillation Tower 1 - 3F has a chest with a mega-potion, guarded by byobapolises.
65M Above Ground Level
Divided into two separate areas. The south area is Distillation Tower 2 - 4F, reached from the Distillation Tower 2 - 3F from 55M Above Ground Level, and is a short path over ruined walkways leading to a ladder up to 80M Above Ground Level. Two cerulean drakes are fought in front of the ladder.
The north area mainly comprises the Collapsed Service Tunnel, reached from the Midgar Loopline Expressway - Tunnel 7 from 80M Above Ground Level. A long battle ensues here: a guard dog and elite security officers first, followed by forces including helitroopers, elite grenadiers, and more elite security officers. In its northeast end is a path up to the Central Tower - 1F, where a bench and vending machine (selling Lurking in the Darkness) are located. Stairs lead up to the tower's upper floors located at 80M Above Ground Level, the start of the quest "The Path to Greater Heights".
80M Above Ground Level
The south portion, reached from the Distillation Tower 2 - 4F from 65M Above Ground Level, is divided into two areas: the S7 Chemical Industries Building and the Midgar Loopline Expressway - Tunnel 7. The S7 Chemical Industries Building comprises a path over rubble to rope at the end. The grappling gun is used at the end to reach the next area, with no point of return.
Midgar Loopline Expressway - Tunnel 7 is a road over ruins of an expressway. Boxes can be smashed along the way. Halfway along the path, 3-C SOLDIER operators are fought, and a radio is found on the ground, before entering the loop expressway itself. At the end of the loop, after using the grappling gun, the Collapsed Service Tunnel at 65M Above Ground Level is reached, and a long battle ensues.
The north portion is Central Tower - 2F, continued from the Central Tower - 1F at 65M Above Ground Level. This is a wide room with little found within it, and in the center is a caved-in expressway tunnel allowing the grappling gun to reach Central Tower - 6F at 100M Above Ground Level.
100M Above Ground Level
Comprises a single area, the Central Tower - 6F. Slug-Rays are fought here, and at the northwest corner, the grappling gun can be aimed to reach Central Tower - 9F at 115M Above Ground Level.
115M Above Ground Level
Comprising only the Central Tower - 9F, a wide, open room where Slug-Rays and a Shock-Ray are fought. A treasure chest in the southeast contains a hi-potion, and at the south is a staircase up to 120M Above Ground Level. On the opposite side of the floor and towards the right has a grapple point that will lead up. Walking around the outside down the stairs, and back inside the building, finds an enchanted ring inside a chest . The player can grapple the wall opposite to get back out.
120M Above Ground Level
Split into two areas: Central Tower - 10F at the south end, and the Industrial Tank - 1F at the north end. The Central Tower mostly contains a path of rubble toward the Industrial Tank. At the Industrial Tank, a ladder leads up to its upper floors, and a Blast-Ray is fought.
130M Above Ground Level
Comprises only the Industrial Tank - 2F area, a walkway circling the tank. The walkway has several boxes, and at the back, a treasure chest contains a turbo ether bottle. At the bottom is a ladder to the next floor.
135M Above Ground Level
Comprising the Industrial Tank - 3F, a route around a warehouse. In the west area is a ladder up to a ledge with a smelling salts package, while the east leads to a ladder at the back to the next level.
140M Above Ground Level
Comprising the Industrial Tank - 4F, a series of walkways providing a view of the destroyed plate. A ladder at the back leads up to the Collapsed Highway on the next level.
145M Above Ground Level
Divided into two areas: the Collapsed Highway on the west side and Industrial Tank Control Wing - 1F on the east.
The Collapsed Highway, visited in "The Path to Greater Heights", is a path leading south around rubble to the ruins of a building. At the south end past the rubble, several byobapolises and cerulean drakes are fought. After dispatching the enemies, backtracking finds a bundle of rope on the ground. Looking up towards the scaffolding finds a grapple point that leads to a chest with a magician's bracelet . The player can then drop down the broken ladder to proceed. Past this at the southeast end is the Industrial Tank Scaffolding at 155M Above Ground Level.
The Industrial Tank Control Wing - 1F is a wide space, visited during "Flight of the Valkyrie" after using the stairs from the Industrial Tank Scaffolding at 155M Above Ground Level. Two Blast-Rays are encountered, and a ladder leads up to the Industrial Tank Control Wing - 2F at 155m Above Ground Level.
155M Above Ground Level
Comprises the Industrial Tank Scaffolding at the south end, and the Industrial Tank Control Wing - 2F north.
The Industrial Tank Scaffolding is a narrow path around scaffolding visited in "The Path to Greater Heights". It leads to the roof of a building, where "Flight of the Valkyrie" begins as the party must take cover behind buildings, and run along in between intervals where the Valkyrie stops firing. At the end is a staircase leading to the Industrial Tank Control Wing - 1F at 145M Above Ground Level.
The Industrial Tank Control Wing - 2F is visited in "Flight of the Valkyrie", after taking the staircase from the lower floor at 140M Above Ground Level. Elite helitroopers are fought here, and at the south end past a fallen pillar is a bench and vending machine. Left of these, a staircase leads up to a ramp where a chest contains an antidote, and to the right, a path leads around the industrial tank's scaffolding up to 160M Above Ground Level.
160M Above Ground Level
Comprising only the Industrial Tank Utility Access, a path of staircases and walkways. In the middle, the grappling gun can be aimed at the top to reach the next level up.
190M Above Ground Level
Contains only one area: the Crane - Lower Mast. In its corner, the grappling gun can be aimed at dangling rope to reach the next level up. A battle commences upon doing so.
220M Above Ground Level
The location of the boss battle against the Valkyire. This comprises one area visible on the map, the Crane, and another area where the Valkyrie is fought in later phases.
