Its attacks cause Poison, so it may be troublesome for some players who do not have enough Antidotes in stock. The enemy itself is not strong, but its ability to poison and tendency to appear in groups can make it troublesome.

Etymology
cobra is a venomous snake from the family Elapidae native to the desert regions of Asia and Africa. Cobras are most easily recognized by the flap of skin that surrounds their heads in a hood-like shape. Cobra is also the Portuguese word for "snake."
AIn the original NES release of Final Fantasy, the Cobra was named the Asp. Asp is an archaic term used to describe poisonous snakes found in Egypt around the Nile River delta, most likely describing the Egyptian Cobra. The name Cobra was used in that translation to refer to the monster usually known as the Anaconda.
