A legendary pilot in Shinra's space program. Cid was chosen to be their first astronaut, but the program was canceled. He chose to remain in Rocket Town, biding his time, and still harboring his dreams of space.
Official description
Cid (VII) is a playable character who can be recruited as the First Time Reward for completing the Record of Ultima Weapon (VII) on the Classic difficulty track. He could also be recruited during the Challenge Event Blood Madness as the First Time Reward for completing the event's stage Rocket Town on the Classic difficulty. He could further be recruited in The Lone Wolf's Lament - Cloudy Wolf and The Second Coming.
He is at his best with a spear and given a spear from his native Realm, his attacks can be brutal, and often incorporate a buff or debuff to assist the party as well. His Speed lags behind fellow Dragoons; but his Defense makes up for it and gives the party another reliable tank with a good range of combat skills.

Abilities[]
Cid can use Combat abilities up to rarity rank 4, Support abilities up to rarity rank 3, Celerity abilities up to rarity rank 3, and Dragoon abilities up to rarity rank 5.
His default Soul Break is Boost Jump which at the expense of one Soul Gauge segment deals ranged damage to one target equal to 150% damage potency of a conventional attack. The spear Trident (VII) allows Cid to use Dynamite which at the expense of one Soul Gauge segment deals physical damage to all targets, temporarily lowering their Attack. The spear Pole Axe (VII) grants Cid the Hyper Jump, which for one Soul Gauge segment allows him to strike a single foe four times, then grants him Haste plus bonuses to Attack and Defense upon finishing the attack.
