A former pilot who was to become the first astronaut as part of Shinra's space program. His dreams of space are put on hold after a failed launch. Spending his days lost and unfulfilled, his interest is piqued by Cloud's party and their antagonism toward Shinra, and he soon joins their cause.

Cid is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during the Lost Chapter Space Dreams.

Cid wears a navy blue jacket over a dark shirt with dark green cargo pants. He wears a white pilot's scarf that covers most of his shirt, a pair of goggles, leather gloves, and boots.

- Cid is partner to Balthier in his Force Mode since, although their demeanors differ, both are accomplished airship engineers and pilots. In addition, both sought freedom and greater prospects in the skies and turned against their original factions (the Shinra Corp. and the Archadian Empire, respectively). Futhermore, Balthier is a Mid (his real name is Ffamran mied Bunansa), and other Mids in the series are connected with a Cid.
