Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Cid (The Crystal Bearers) page!
I trust him, certainly.
Cid about Layle
Cid is a sociable member of the Lilty tribe in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers who carries on the long-held Final Fantasy tradition of characters named Cid.
Cid is the former Chief Engineer of the Lilty Kingdom, inventor of the crystal reactor, and prototypical craftsman. After retiring from his job as Chief Engineer of the Lilties, he now runs a private workshop at Bridge Town and works to create new technology. He cares for Layle, but also considers him prime research material. He works on creating a steam-powered engine that he hopes will usurp his previous invention, the crystal reactor, and eliminate the world's dependence on the limited number of crystals for power. He is voiced by Shinichi Kotani in the Japanese version and Doug Stone in the English version.

Etymology[]
Cid is a recurring name in the Final Fantasy series. سيد (sîdi or sayyid), which means "lord" or "master".
Cid is derived from the dialectal Arabic wordTrivia[]
- As a very rotund Lilty, this incarnation of Cid bears a curious resemblance to the Goron race of the Legend of Zelda series.
- His jacket is the same as Layle's, although the different coloring and the lack of fringe on the coat's neck makes this hard to realize.
