Final Fantasy VI description
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Chocobo Brush is a Duty Action available to players during the Sigmascape V 2.0 fight against Chadarnook. When used, the player will produce a brush tipped with chocobo feathers (provided by Alpha), and spread black paint on the ground. This can be used to complete sketches found on the arena floor to produce creatures and effects that can defend against Chadarnook's magic attacks. In the Savage version of the fight, each sketch requires the player to first apply the correct color of paint to the brush, and all four colors can be combined to create a Siren sketch.

Etymology[edit | edit source]
Chocobo refers to the recurring bird species in the series. The name "chocobo" derives from a Japanese brand of chocolate malt ball by Morinaga, ChocoBall (チョコボール, Chokobōru?). The mascot for this product is Kyoro-chan (キョロちゃん?), a bird who says "kweh."
食う / くう / kuu is a rough way to say "eat", whose volitional casual form is 食え / くえ / kue ("let's scoff 'em down!"), leading to Kweh!
