When the story brings the party to Gold Saucer to look for the keystone, Dio puts Cloud through a Battle Square gauntlet. The player gets the keystone regardless of their success, but if they win all eight rounds, they will win a Choco Feather.

Choco Feather boosts the user's Dexterity by a marginal amount, allowing them to get slightly more actions in battle. Overall, the accessory is not very valuable, as at the point it is available to buy, better accessories are available to the player to protect them from statuses, elements, or increase more important stats. If the player wants more turns in battle, they should equip the Sprint Shoes instead, which is available earlier than Choco Feather. The player can also boost Dexterity with Speed Plus and Speed Sources.
