Final Fantasy Wiki

A belt made for the reigning workout champion.

Champion Belt is an accessory in Final Fantasy VII Remake that boosts the wearer's HP by 10% and Strength Strength by 5%.

In Chapter 9, "The Town That Never Sleeps", while Aerith Gainsborough is at Madam M's getting a makeover, Cloud Strife is free to look around the entertainment district. At the gym he can partake in the squats minigame, and winning against gym owner Jules nets Cloud a Champion Belt.

In Chapter 14, "In Search of Hope" the party returns to Wall Market where Tifa Lockhart can partake in a pull-ups minigame at the gym after talking to Andrea Rhodea there. Winning against Jules nets another Champion Belt.

Champion Belt can also be stolen from the Grungy Bandit. The Bandit is encountered in the side quest "The Price of Thievery" and the main story quest "Checking on Friends". The Champion Belt can be stolen in every encounter, and any extras can be sold for 5000 gil.

The accessory is good to equip on strength-focused characters, like Cloud and Tifa who are the ones to win the accessories from their respective minigames. The Supernatural Wristguards give a bigger Strength boost, but Champion Belt is good for giving both HP and Strength, although the player can get a superior HP boost from HP Up Materia HP Up Materia.
