Cerberus

Cerberus is a boss from Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. It is encountered in the Depths of the True Moon, and fought on the same floor where the other bosses from Final Fantasy III are.

Stats

Battle

He can attack three times per turn, and will use Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga or a physical attack for each turn.

Strategy

As Cerberus attacks three times per turn, the player should start the battle by slowing him down with a Spider Silk or the Slow spell. If the player has multiple party members with the Reflect spell, the player should cast Reflect on the party to bounce their spells back. Black Mages should attack with their most powerful spells, and physical attackers should use their strongest attacks and bands. If the player only has one White Mage, Cerberus' spells are not too damaging, and if he is slowed, the player should be able to keep up with healing.

Etymology

Cerberus is a three-headed dog that guards the underworld's gates in Greek mythology.
