Celestial Stasis is an ancient astromancy spell part of the Astrologian job questline. Originally denied to exist by the Sharlayans, it halts the heavens completely, thus stopping time for the spell's duration. It is an enemy ability used by Sevestre during the level 60 Astrologian quest. The ability inflicts the Time Displacement debuff for a period of 5 seconds.
While not the same ability in Japanese, Astral Stasis is based on Orran's Celestial Stasis ability from Final Fantasy Tactics. It is the level 3 Limit Break for Astrologians. It restores the HP of all party members and revives any from K.O.

Celestial Stasis (Galaxy Stop on the PlayStation) is an ability that for the Astrologer job. It afflicts enemies with the temporal status effects Immobilize, Disable, and Stop, and can potentially affect all enemy units on the field. It has no MP cost. Orran Durai is the only character with the Astrologer job, is not a playable character and only appears as a guest in one battle.
Celestial Stasis does not take zodiac compatibility into account, but it does not affect units with the same zodiac sign as Orran.
