Celestial Stasis is an ancient astromancy spell part of the Astrologian job questline. Originally denied to exist by the Sharlayans, it halts the heavens, stopping time for the spell's duration. It is an enemy ability used by Sevestre during the quest
The Hands of Fate. The ability inflicts the
Temporal Displacement debuff for 5 seconds, preventing any action.
While not the same ability, the animation of the Astral Stasis Limit Break is based on Orran's Celestial Stasis ability from Final Fantasy Tactics.

Celestial Stasis (Galaxy Stop on the PlayStation) is an ability that for the guest-exclusive astrologer job. It inflicts enemies with the temporal status effects Immobilize, Disable, and Stop, and can potentially affect all enemy units on the field. It has no MP cost. Orran Durai is the only character with the astrologer job, is not a playable character and only appears as a guest in one battle.
Celestial Stasis does not take zodiac compatibility into account, but it does not affect units with the same zodiac sign as Orran.

Celestial Stasis is the Limit Burst for Orran. At max rarity and fully powered, it deals 10 hits of magic damage with a modifier of 3.9x and has a 84% chance of inflicting Stop for 5 turns to all enemies.
