The living dead?[]

If you're still having trouble with this, you maybe equipped Galuf/Bartz with Bone Plate? --122.57.127.108 03:08, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Submarine Glitch[]

Parking the submarine behind the Sealed Castle and enter you will never reach the submarine again, and therefore be unable to complete the game. Notable? --122.57.127.108 03:10, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Is that really true, because I can't find anything of it on google or youtube?Keltainentoukokuu 03:15, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
Nevermind, discovered how to get back. --122.57.127.108 03:29, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Other Bugs[]

What about the Mirage Vest glitch? I'm adding it to the Equipment bugs page, but the Dancing Dagger entry gives precedent that indicates that redundancies are okay. Should a new page be made for the Mirage Vest bug exclusively and added to this list?67.43.249.134 17:35, August 22, 2017 (UTC)

Also, a document of advice for Four Job Fiesta tells me this: "Mineuchi/SwdSlap is bugged. Its description says that it causes paralysis, but it does not. What it does do is a normal attack that won’t break confusion or sleep on a target. Not the most broken of abilities, but it can have its uses - for example, killing Atomos when using a Slumber Sword or Sleep Spellsword strategy." Is this a thing? Is it a thing across versions? I'm just getting started on the Advance version, so I can't verify squat on my own.67.43.249.134 21:03, August 22, 2017 (UTC)

How about the Vampire ability of the Blue Mage? It looks like we had previously glossed over the fact that the damage formula in the GBA version is bugged, and it's supposed to deal half as much damage, as it does in the mobile version.67.43.249.134 08:18, August 23, 2017 (UTC)

There isn't really a guideline on what qualifies for a glitch article. If you think there is enough content for it (videos/images are always a plus), and willingness to create an article, you can just go for it. I think glitches often could just be documented on their ability/equipment article though if it just concerns this one piece of equipment/ability. I think the List of bugs and glitches could be further divided to "List of Final Fantasy V glitches" etc articles, where there would be more space to write about smaller bugs. Someone would need to volunteer for a project like that though.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:13, August 23, 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the thorough reply. Would that I had time . . . I'm already involved in entirely too many projects, sadly. I'm really surprised that with such a surging community interest in bugs and glitches, this subject hasn't been tidied up on the wiki to a great degree. Not trying to sound accusing in that. I mean, if I just said that I lack the time, I clearly understand that others have things to do as well . . . Well, perhaps I'll get the chance to give it a bit of an overhaul in the near future. If you or anyone else wants to delineate suggestions, I'm all ears, though I do have some idea of what I intend to do.67.43.249.134 09:19, August 28, 2017 (UTC)
Glitches are a niche part of the wiki, no one is really managing them. They've just been put to categories and listed, and that's about it. It's often an easy type of article to write because they tend to be self-contained and short, so many have popped up over the years. Improving this part of the wiki would be good, but almost everything else could also be improved!Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 12:20, August 28, 2017 (UTC)

Disappearing item bug[]

Yet another unreported bug for FFV.
