Bestiary entry from Final Fantasy XII.
The Cassie (キャシー, Kyashī?), also known as Capricious Cassie (カプリシャス・キャシー, Kapurishasu Kyashī?) or Copycat Cassie (コピーキャット・キャシー, Kopīkyatto Kyashī?), is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy XI. It is a stronger version of the malboro.
Appearances[]
Final Fantasy XI[]
Capricious Cassie appears as a morbol notorious monster encountered in Fei'Yin. It can drop the rare equipment Aiming Bracelets, Amity Cape, and Cassie Earring upon defeat, which are unique to Cassie. Defeating it grants the title "Cassienova". Another Capricious Cassie can potentially be encountered on Nyzul Isle, but lacks its unique rewards there.
Final Fantasy XII[]
The Cassie appears as an enemy encountered in the Ridorana Cataract. It has the Chaperon as a rare steal and can inflict the party with status ailments with its breath attacks. Four of them also appear alongside the Wild Malboro in the Zodiac versions' Trial Mode in Stage 69.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Capricious Cassie appears as a morbol boss encountered during
The Squirrel Trapper's Wife in the East Shroud. As with other morbol bosses, Cassie's prodigious size greatly increases the danger posed by its Bad Breath, as it covers a much larger area than normal.
Another Cassie, the morbol marquis Copycat Cassie, can be encountered during
Cassie and the Copycats in Eureka Pagos. It is noted for growing to a size rivaling Capricious Cassie despite the lack of sunlight in Pagos, earning its name for "copying" the Shroud morbol.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift[]
The Cassie appears as a variety of malboro. Its Honeyed Breath can inflict Charm and Sleep.
