SetzersCards — Setzer's cards in *Final Fantasy VI*.

Is it true that one of the guys in Class Zero actually fights with playing cards? Yeah, I bet you can really trump your opponents with weapons like that... Seriously, those Class Zero cadets are a weird bunch.
First Class Cadet in Final Fantasy Type-0

Cards (カード, Kādo?) are a recurring type of weapon in the series. It is usually used by the recurring Gambler job, who can also wield Dice. There are no recurring weapons of this type.

Final Fantasy XI

Though not used directly as a weapon, special cards infused with elemental power are used for the Corsair's Quick Draw ability.

Cards are used as a weapon by the Astrologian in tandem with a viewing device called a Star Globe in the Heavensward expansion. While the cards are primarily used for their Draw cards ability, they are also used to auto-attack in melee range.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

Cards are the weapons of choice of the Trickster job. They are some of the strongest ranged weapons.

Cards as a weapon type does not appear, but are a part of the thrown weapons set where several of Setzer and Ace's weapons are included. The gambling gear, which contains only Darts and since its introduction has fallen into disuse, has a three-card fan as its icon.

Trivia

Although cards are an odd weapon, the idea is based on card throwing.
