Final Fantasy XIII description

Caladrius (カラドリオス, Karadoriosu?) is a recurring boomerang weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It debuted as a weapon for Hope Estheim in Final Fantasy XIII.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy XIII[]

The Caladrius is the upgraded version of Alicanto, Hope's handicap weapon, as though the weapon has good and equal stats between Strength and Magic, it also has Stagger Lock, meaning Hope cannot stagger enemies when wielding this weapon (though he can still build the chain gauge). It is not too much of a hindrance, however, as long as the other party members can still stagger the enemy. It is part of the Gestalt synthesis group.

Etymology[]

The Caladrius is a bird in Roman mythology that heals patients by drawing their sickness into itself and flying away with it, healing itself as well.
