Cachusha (カチューシャ, Kachūsha?) is a recurring piece of equipment in the series, appearing as part of the female-exclusive equipment. Much like other helmets of this subtype of equipment, the Cachusha offers little stats, similar to the Barette, but offers a great deal of protection against status ailments. It is generally weaker than the Barette.

Hair ornament enchanted with various powers, worn by women.
Cachusha is an Add-on that provides +1 Speed, +2 Magic, +1 Spirit, +1 Magic Defense, and raises Fire-elemental damage for the user. It teaches the abilities Ability Up, Bright Eyes, and Life, and can only be equipped by Dagger, Freya, Eiko, and Beatrix. It can be synthesized for 1,000 gil, Magus Hat, and Rubber Helm at Alexandria, Treno, Daguerreo, Lindblum (after disc 1), or Black Mage Village (discs 2/3), found in Dali (disc 3) before the card tournament in Treno concludes on the upper windmill, and as a 1/1024 treasure during Chocobo Hot and Cold.

Cachusha is one of three hair adornments that can only be equipped by females, Cloud, and the Onion Knight class, and provides +20 HP as well as immunity to Doom, Undead, Blind, Silence, Toad, Poison, Slow, Immobilize, and Disable. It can be bought for 20,000 gil after poaching a Pig, or from the Melee and Rendezvous modes in the PSP and later versions.

Cachusha is one of three hair adornments, and provides 2 Defense, 5 Resistance, and immunity to Poison, Blind and Silence. It teaches the ability Critical: Evasion↑ for 200 AP to the Spellblade and Geomancer classes. It can be obtained from the Bazaar from the Hair Adornments C category, and can be bought for 7,800 gil.
