A bionically modified subspecies of varghidpolis capable of flying thanks to levistones implanted in its body. This breed is now feral after some specimens escaped the lab and bred in the wild.

Byobapolis is an enemy in Final Fantasy VII Remake, encountered in the Collapsed Sector 7 Plate in Chapter 15, "The Day Midgar Stood Still". Its Enemy Intel blurb says it flies due to the levistones implanted in its body; the Levistone is a recurring item in the Final Fantasy series that debuted in the original Final Fantasy.
It is weak to

Wind, the latter being especially good at staggering it.
