Byakko is a notorious monster of the tiger family. He is one of the Shijin encountered in Ru'Aun Gardens. Defeating it rewards the Seal of Byakko, which when combined with the seals of the other Shijin allows players to summon Kirin in the Shrine of Ru'Avitau. Kirin will summon a weaker version of Byakko during its encounter.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Byakko is one of the Four Lords, auspices of great power that serve as guardians of the Ruby Sea. The Warrior of Light must battle Byakko in The Jade Stoa in order to quell his aramitama that he and the rest of the Four Lords can renew the seal on the fallen auspice Koryu.

Byak-Ko is one of the Four Fiends that serve Asura. He rules over the world of 10th floor, searching for Jeanne in order to obtain the White Sphere. He is first fought in the Sacred Palace, but is later revived by the Creator within the final levels of the Tower.

Byakko is an Eidolon who chose to live in the human world in the land of Ajima to defend humanity. He serves as the loyal bodyguard of Suzaku and as the Holy Beast of the west. Together with Suzaku, Seiryu, and Genbu, they make up the "Four Holy Beast" Eidolons.

Etymology[]
White Tiger is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. According to Wu Xing, the Taoist five-elemental system, it represents the metal-element, the direction west, and the autumn season. Thus it is sometimes called the White Tiger of the West. It is known as Bai Hu in Chinese, Byakko in Japanese, Baekho in Korean, and Bạch Hổ in Vietnamese.
