Bwagi is one of Ba'Gamnan's henchmen from Final Fantasy XII, and one of his brothers. He is the second-in-command, though he follows Ba'Gamnan out of fear. The quartet are fought as bosses twice in the main game, and once in the Zodiac versions' Trial Mode in Stage 58.

- Being a bangaa headhunter, intent on capturing the sky pirate Balthier. Vicious and cruel, he will do anything to claim a bounty, not hesitating for a moment to dirty his own hands. Though Ba'Gamnan is guilty of more than enough to deserve a price on his own head, his unofficial role as Judge Gabranth's dark hand ensures his good name with the law. His three henchmen are, if anything, crueler and more lacking in mores than he, were that possible.

- Big, strong, and never pushed aside until he's squeezed the last scream out of a captive is Gijuk. No less despicable is the shady Bwagi, a relentless and sadistic hunter of men. Lastly, Rinok gives a female touch to Ba'Gamnan's motley crew, yet if one were expecting to find a kind and gentle nature here, one would be sorely, nay, agonizingly disappointed.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings[]
The four notorious bangaa—Bwagi, Rinok, Gijuk, and Ba'Gamnan—make their second debut in Mission 06. Ba'Gamnan's siblings are no longer motivated to fight with him and when Ba'Gamnan catches on, he scolds them; out of fear they fight Vaan, Filo, and Kytes. The siblings soon create their own splinter group.
The first real battle with all four bangaa is when Ba'Gamnan kidnaps Filo. Rikken and his team help divert the three bangaa subordinates. Later on, after being forced back into Ba'Gamnan's side, the three treacherous bangaa attempt to keep Vaan from helping out Fran, who gets ambushed after the mission.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Introduced in the Return to Ivalice raid series in Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, Bwagi and his siblings served as fusiliers in the Dalmascan army until the Garlean Empire invaded thirty years prior to the expansion. He first appears at the end of the Royal City of Rabanastre demanding a piece of auracite from the Warrior of Light in exchange for Jenomis cen Lexentale's safety.
Bwagi and his siblings later reappear requesting help from the Warrior and the Majestic Theater Company in locating Ba'Gamnan. The group tracks him down the Ridorana Lighthouse, where Ba'Gamnan, under the influence of the auracite, makes a pact with it. After defeating his Lucavi form Yiazmat, Bwagi confirms to the group that his brother's auracite necklace belonged to the late Princess Ashelia.
He later brings the Warrior of Light to the General of Lente's Tears, Fran, who promises her aid in locating the Orbonne Monastery in exchange for military and financial aid from the Eorzean and Eastern alliances, and the East Aldenard Trading Company. Despite having been denied by all three parties, Fran, Bwagi, and his siblings assist the Warrior and the Theater Company in locating the Monastery.
In Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, Bwagi reappears after Misija Votyasch summons Queen Gunnhildr as a primal. He shoots Misija in the shoulder, giving time for the Bozjan Resistance and the Warrior to flee from Castrum Lacus Litore, later informing them that reinforcements from Dalmasca have arrived, with reinforcements from the Eastern alliance on their way.

Behind the scenes[]
In the official Piggyback guide released for the PlayStation 2 version, Bwagi's stats are swapped with Gijuk's. His description in the game's bestiary is also probably swapped with Gijuk's, since the latter is described as the big and strong one, while Bwagi is stated to be the shady hunter.
