Bug Killer (ムシキラー, Mushi Kirā?), also known as Bug Slayer, is a recurring support ability in the Final Fantasy series, which allows the user to deal extra damage to insect-type enemies.

Bug Killer is an ability learned by Zidane for 35 AP, Steiner for 50 AP, Freya for 25 AP, and Amarant for 10 AP. It is learned from the Bronze Helm, Mythril Gloves, and Mythril Armlet, and requires 2 Magic Stones to equip. It allows the user to deal 1.5x damage to insect-type enemies with their physical attacks.

Bug Killer is a passive ability learned by Firion at level 14 (4★), Bahamut (2★), and Golem (2★), and is a passive on a variety of equipment. In addition, it can be equipped as a Materia by crafting it using 1600 gil, 20 Fire Crysts, 20 Spellsilks, 10 Rockbeetle Husks, and 1 Alcryst. It increases physical damage against insects by 50% and is superseeded by Bug Killer+ and other similar abilities.
