The character brims with life, doubling max HP. The effect is temporary.
Description
Bubble is a status in Final Fantasy XII. Bubble doubles the max HP of the target with the status; party members' HP can exceed 9999 with Bubble, though the UI only shows HP up to 9999. Characters in Bubble status will be immune to Disease, and vice versa. Enemies and NPC allies are generally immune to Bubble.
The formula for the duration is:
Bubble improves attacks that calculate damage from the user's health, like Knot of Rust, Balance, Zeromus's Big Bang, and Shemhazai's Devour Soul.
It is best to not use Bubble in the battle against Cúchulainn, as the battle arena's HP Sap is based on a percentage of max HP; if Cúchulainn inverts a character, the last bit of HP saps at twice the speed if they have Bubble.

In the original PlayStation 2 version, Stamp can transfer positive statuses as well as negative to any target and thus can be used to bestow Bubble when the user has it; this was changed in the Zodiac versions so only ailments can be transferred with Stamp to enemies.
The gambits specifically for this status are "Ally: status = Bubble" and "Self: status = Bubble". In the original version, these gambits can be bought for 50 gil after the events at Draklor Laboratory. In the Zodiac versions, the gambits can be purchased for 70 gil after leaving Nalbina Dungeons.
Enemy abilities[]
Enemies do not have access to abilities that bestow Bubble and are typically immune to the effect; there is also no gambit to detect the status on enemies.

Espers[]
Cúchulainn cannot receive Bubble status. Generally, it is a good idea to cast Bubble onto any Espers the player summons, especially for Zeromus's Big Bang and Gravity Well and for Shemhazai's Devour Soul.
