Front-words, back-wards, any way you see! Such a strange spell to swish-swish-aree!
Broom
Broom is a character in the original Final Fantasy. These enchanted brooms ceaselessly sweep the floor within Matoya's Cave. Matoya animated them with her magic. There's another enchanted broom that belongs to a nameless witch. Both can be found in the streets of Gaia, however, she mentions that her broom always tried to weasel its way out of its chores. Brooms can also be found within the Labyrinth of Time.

Etymology and origin[]
In the context of witchcraft, broomstick is likely to refer to the broom as a whole, known as a besom. A besom is a broom, a household implement used for sweeping.
The witches in Final Fantasy use brooms to do their chores. This may stem from Disney's 1940 film Fantasia, where Mickey Mouse, playing The Sorcerer's Apprentice, brings a broom to life to do his chore of filling a well with water.
