While not appearing physically or having any statistics inside the data, there is a text string of Bronze Rod suggesting that at one point during development that this weapon was planned to appear in the 3D remake as a rod.

Bronze Rod is a club that provides 5 damage, 288 delay, and HP +3. It deals 1.04 damage per second and accumulates 76 TP per hit. It can be equipped by level 5 White Mage, Black Mage, Summoner, Scholar, and Geomancer.
It can be bought for 50 Sparks of Eminence from Isakoth in Bastok Markets (E-11), Rolandienne in Southern San d'Oria (G-10), Fhelm Jobeizat in Windurst Woods (J-10), and Eternal Flame in Western Adoulin (H-11). It can also be bought for 90 - 110 gil from Tavourine in Northern San d'Oria (E-4) and Doggomehr (E-5), Ciqala in Bastok Markets (F-10), Hohbiba-Mubiba in Port Windurst (H-9), Runito-Monito in Mhaura (H-8), and Ndego in Al Zahbi (H-9).
