Bronze Chestplate (ブロンズの胸当て, Buronzu no Muneate?), also known as Bronze Vest, Bronze Corslet, Bronze Chest Plate, and Bronze Breastplate, is a recurring light armor in the series, part of the bronze equipment set.

Bronze Vest is a low-ranked light armor that provides 9 Defense, 1 Magic Defense, +1 Spirit, and teaches Jelly. It can be bought for 670 gil at Burmecia, Summit Station, Treno (before going to the Outer Continent), Lindblum (before going to the Outer Continent), Black Mage Village (before returning from the Outer Continent) and found in Lindblum or Gizamaluke's Grotto. It can be equipped by everyone except Steiner and Freya.
Bronze Chestplate is a low-ranked light armor that provides 8 Defense and +40 HP. It requires the Light Armor 3 license to equip, and can be bought for 500 gil at Rabanastre, Dalmasca Westersand, Nalbina Fortress, Bhujerba, and Dreadnought Leviathan, and stolen from Skeleton at the Lhusu Mines (3% chance) and from Skull Defender at the Barheim Passage (3% chance).
