Break Arts are special moves in Vagrant Story that drain Ashley Riot's Hit Points.
There are 40 Break Arts, four for each type of weapon, including bare fists. Ashley will not be able use a Break Art if it would reduce him below one HP.
Acquiring Break Arts[]
Each time Ashley beats an opponent, he will gain EXP towards acquiring new Break Art. Every successful battle earns one experience point. When Ashley accumulates enough experience, he gains a new Break Art for the weapon he is currently using. Players can see the number of EXP needed to learn the next Break Art under the Break Arts menu. To learn the first Break Art for the current weapon needed to gain 30 EXP.
