After the Moonfire Faire was over, P'obyano asked Warrior of Light to help her collect the garbage dumped on the sands of Bloodshore beach. After collecting the trash, P'obyano thanked them for their efforts and was curious about the presence of a bottle containing a message that was among the collected trash. She promptly extracts and reads the largely illegible missive, which appears to have been written with a dark prophecy. Concerned that another calamity is imminent, P'obyano asks the Warrior of Light to deliver the letter to Bran at Limsa Lominsa, who specializes in such matters.

Bran immediately identifies the letter as having been written by none other than a certain Wandering Minstrel, and the words themselves as having been taken from the seventh verse of Mezaya Thousand Eyes's Divine Chronicles. Not knowing what it all means, the veteran gazetteer proposes paying the enigmatic musician a visit in Ul'dah. Arriving in Ul'dah, the minstrel kindly agrees to the interview provided it is conducted on his terms. He recounts that the letter was written before the Calamity, when the minstrel and his adventuring friends were endeavoring to spread the word about the impending destruction throughout the land.
