Battle
Bomb uses Fire-elemental magic attacks capable of inflicting Burnt status. They are weak to Ice. They can self-destruct, damaging all nearby characters; they grow when not being attacked, and explode at their peak. If summoned by a Grenade, it dies when the Grenade that summoned it is defeated.
Strategy
The player can fend against bomb-type enemies' attacks with Spirit-boosting gear and elemental defenses. The Thermal Suit makes the party immune to fire, and there are also foods the party can eat to nullify elemental damage. The player should try to kill them before they explode. Swords and daggers work well, especially daggers since they attack fast, and Ignis has a Technique that imbues Noctis's weapon with the element his foe is weak against. With character swap, Ignis himself can also wield Ice-elemental daggers. Blizzard magic can be used to damage whole groups of bombs at once.

Etymology
