Bloeidin is a non-player character in Final Fantasy XIV. He is the Storm Commander of the Red Swallows crew that resides at Camp Overlook.
History[]
Early Life[]
Bloeidin was a comrade and lover to Slafswys previously and sailed the seas as the scurviest pirate crew until Merlwyb became Admiral, and he became a commander residing in Camp Overlook an outpost that shares a border with the Kobolds, often times warring with them. At some point, he is met by an adventurer possessing a letter addressed to him from Slafswys who offers him a chance to hit the kobolds in a pre-emptive strike. Laughing at her brazen personality, he asks the adventurer to convince his crew that there would be a fortune in fighting the kobolds and joining her cause. After the adventurer reports back, he was confident they were all willing to fight. In the next encounter he offers the adventurer in on the operation against the kobolds, with information on a new crucible in their hidden storehouses, he asks them to distract the kobolds by blowing up their supplies in Iron Lake while his men destroy the crucible. After the successful operation and celebrating with a night of grog, he assigns another task to the adventurer, asking them to deliver a report of the operation to Commander Rhiki, and send his regards to Slafswys, and that he's waiting for her.

Appearance[]
Bloeidin is a sea wolf roegadyn with sea green skin, black hair with a beard and mustache, and has blue eyes. He wears a dark red tricorne hat with an eyepatch, He wears a red Bliaud and wears another version of the storm's sergeant leggings.
Personality[]
Glory and treasure are a saying Bloeidin tells the adventurer, having a prideful personality in his life as a pirate yet giving up the life of piracy and trading his crew's jolly roger to work under admiral Merlwyb shows his respect for her. He Considers himself an old Buccaneer and looks after his crew's well-being while also pushing them to seek bounties that pay well. Knowing his crew well, he understands their nature as pirates and eagerness to fight and leads them in operations against the Kobolds. He has a love for explosions, and enjoys the pleasure of a job well done, often celebrating with grog. Although he cherishes his memories of being a pirate, he wishes those who currently pillage and plunder aimlessly searching for treasure would instead lend their skills to fighting the good fight, even though gold is the quickest way and often only way to a pirate's heart. Bloeidin previously had a romantic relationship with Slafswys, and may still have feelings for her as he told her he'd be waiting on her. Following the alliance with the kobolds, he is shocked to see that they made peace and is glad to see Ga Bu cured.
