Non-Final Fantasy appearances
Other Square Enix titles
Blizzara has appeared in other Square Enix titles as an ability, referencing the Final Fantasy version of the spell. Like Final Fantasy, Blizzara serves as the second tier of Blizzard magic.
Blizzara, together with its tiers Blizzard and Blizzaga, appears as a recurring magic command in the Kingdom Hearts series. When performing Blizzara in titles, the caster unleashes a chunk of ice to shoot out directly from their Keyblade. An alternate version known as Homing Blizzara (ホーミングブリザラ, Hōmingu Burizara?) appears in Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, which unleashes a version of the spell that seeks out the targeted enemy.
The Japanese-exclusive 3D remake of SaGa 3 (known as Final Fantasy Legend III in the west) features Blizzara, serving as one of the many water-elemental magics in the title.
As the successor of Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, Blizzara is featured as a recurring Black Magic spell in the Bravely series. The spell carries over the predecessor's water-elemental affinity for the spell. Blizzara is naturally used by Black Mages in all titles, but it can also be used by the Red Mage job in titles associated with the first Bravely Default. In Bravely Default II, Blizzara can also be performed through the use of the Oracle job's Triplara spell.
