Blitzstrahl (B.シュトラール, B. Shutorāru?) is a Blue Magic skill in Final Fantasy XI that is learned from magic dolls. It deals lightning damage to with an additional Stun effect for 70 MP. It costs 4 Blue Magic Points to set. When set, it grants DEX +3. It takes 4.5 seconds to cast and can be recast 29.25 seconds.
Blitzstrahl is also an enemy ability used by the Doll family.

Its name is a portmanteau of the German words blitz and strahl.
Blitz is a German word for "lightning". In German and English it is associated with quickness.
Strahl is German for a ray or beam of light (or an arrow in older texts).
