Description
Blade Burst is an ability for Cloud in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, learned from the 
Igneous Saber. Cloud winds up his sword behind him before leaping and striking the ground, sending out three beams that travel along the ground.

Blade Burst is provided by the igneous saber, and learned with use. Defeating enemies with it offers a proficiency bonus.
Use[]
Blade Burst deals ranged non-elemental magic damage with no MP cost. It has a large area-of-effect and deals strong damage, making it viable against most enemies, either single target or clustered in a group.
Being a magic-based ability, it relies on Cloud's 
Magic Attack, which is naturally high for him but can be enhanced by the weapon or materia chosen for him. If gearing Cloud toward magic damage output, Blade Burst can be exceptionally powerful; however, it is Cloud's only magic weapon ability.
Because it is non-elemental, Blade Burst cannot be resisted by elemental resistances, only by magic resistances. Though not a substitute for more powerful spells in terms of sheer damage, or ones that can hit an elemental weakness, having no MP cost can be a big strength.
