Black Widow II is a boss in Chapter 6 of Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-. This battle is not so different from the squabble with its earlier incarnation, Black Widow. This time the confrontation with the cyber arachnid is outside, so it cannot climb up and drop grenades. It also no longer has its dash attack, but will utilize missiles should the player attack from a distance.
The first step to defeating it is to eliminate the DG soldiers, which can be accomplished with either the thunder materia or a few handgun shots. Afterwards, the player should descend the stairs. When the boss moves to the top of the stairs, it will create a situation that allows the player to automatically shoot its weak point. A few rounds from the Powered Cerberus can then finish it off.

Etymology[]
Latrodectus is a genus of spider in the family Theridiidae, many of which are commonly known as widow spiders. Individual species vary widely in size, but in most cases the females are dark and identifiable by reddish hourglass markings on the abdomen. The spiders' venomous bite is considered particularly dangerous because of the neurotoxin latrotoxin, which causes the condition latrodectism, both named for the genus. The female black widow has unusually large venom glands and her bite is particularly harmful to humans.
