Etymology[edit | edit source]

Black magic has traditionally referred to the use of supernatural powers or magic for evil and selfish purposes. With respect to the philosophy of left-hand path and right-hand path, black magic is the malicious counterpart of benevolent white magic.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The magic circle effect on the Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection has Greek words inside the inner and outer circle areas of the magic circle. It also has three images of the principle elements: Fire, Ice, and Lightning.
