Black Mages are casters who specialize in offensive magic. Despite their appearance, they can take a few hits, too.
Description
The bearer of this certificate is impeccably well versed in dark magic and is deemed worthy of the title of Master Black Mage.
Mastery certificate description
The Black Mage is a job class in Final Fantasy III gained from the Wind Crystal. In the opening FMV of the 3D remake, Arc is depicted as a Black Mage. Black Mages excel in attacking enemies with offensive Magic. They wield a variety of spells and can attack multiple targets at once. They possess low Attack power and Defense. They can wield bows and rods.
The Black Mage's battle sprite in the NES version is nearly identical to the one from the original Final Fantasy, but with additional furls on its robe. The Black Mages on the 3D remake wear floor-length black coats with individualized details, such as Refia's upturned collar and blue ribbon and Luneth's three buckle fasteners on the chest.
