It will counter-attack any of the party's attacks with Stone Gaze; three successful Stone Gazes against any one party member will result in petrification. They are not particularly threatening due to the Ice equipment that Cecil and Kain get in the dungeon, and a stock of Gold Needles are the only provisions that may be required.
