Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Black Dragon is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI.
Stats
Battle
It can be a slight threat, as it can use Bone Powder to turn party members into Zombies, a danger to the party since they are encountered at a time when the player only has command of Celes. It also uses Sandstorm, dealing decent damage to the party.
Strategy
With proper relics to protect against Zombie, like Ribbons or Amulets, their main danger is nullified. Fira spells and Sabin's Aura Cannon work well against them.

AChromatic dragon is a classification of dragon in the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons who are typically of evil alignment, in contrast to the metallic dragons, and their queen is Tiamat. White, black, green, blue and red dragons are the classic chromatic dragons. Final Fantasy has derived a lot of influence from D&D, especially the early series.
