Template:Sideicon Template:FFXIII-2 Enemies The Black Chocobo is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. It always appears alone. It randomly appears alongside monsters in Vile Peaks -010 AF-. If the battle takes too long, it will flee by using Choco Dash.
A good tip is to pay attention to the chocobo's movements in battle, as right before they flee they will turn around and shake their rear. As soon as the player spots this they can press Template:PS Start button and redo the battle, as it is often faster than waiting for another one to spawn.
Paradigm Pack
As a Paradigm Pack monster, the Black Chocobo is a Saboteur. It maintains decent stats, but the skillset contain spells heavily identical akin with that of the player's, although it learns some II-varieties and Endless Nightmare, along resistance to Pain. It also has an otherwise moderate stat pool at the end of it's development, along with a decent casting speed, making the Black Chocobo an overall acceptable Saboteur end- and post-game.
