A black chocobo spoken of in the Farplane who is able to fly short distances. Wild chocobos have a rough temperament, and are quick to attack any humans they see. This black chocobo is no exception, unleashing extremely painful attacks with its sharp beak. There is said to be a way in other worlds to tame and control chocobos, though unfortunately such an ability is not available in this world.

The Black Chocobo is an enemy from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, and exclusively appears in the Final Fantasy Tactics exchange events The Auracite Chosen and In the Name of Love. The Black Chocobo is a bonus monster which occasionally appears in the ADV, PRO and ELT stages of these events. It either drops 300 Red Orbs or 700 White Orbs.

- The Chocobo is Angry! (チョコボは怒った！, Chokobo wa okotta!?) self-boosts his ATK and MAG, and is usually used when attacked for the first time.
- Choco Beak (チョコアタック, Choko Atakku?, lit. Choco Attack) deals physical damage to one unit.
