Description
The Bird of Prey is a weapon for Yuffie in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It starts with five materia slots, and teaches Yuffie the Doppelgänger ability, which creates a life-sized marionette Yuffie that mimics her last ability, dealing a portion of its damage again.
Bird of Prey has attributes leaning toward physical damage. Its weapon skills are mostly offensive, boosting Yuffie's critical hit rate, which can help with both physical and magic damage.

The treasure chest containing the bird of prey is found in the house containing a rest spot northwest of Gongaga, first visited in chapter 9, "The Planet Stirs".

Use[]
The Bird of Prey builds Yuffie more toward physical damage, with a higher boost to Attack Power than her Magic Attack, having the third-highest attack power boost. Yuffie has numerous physical-based weapon abilities, including Windstorm, Shooting Star, and Art of War, and her Doppelgänger ability allows her to use these attacks twice.
Yuffie's attributes are balanced, meaning bird of prey would tilt her toward this a physical damage role. However, Doppelgänger and some of her magic-based weapon abilities, such as Banishment, can also make her a potent spellcaster, and Twin Viper has the second-lowest magic boost. The critical hit rate boost provided by Bird of Prey's weapon skills can also help magic damage output, especially from Yuffie's ninjutsu attacks.
Crystalline Cross provides a much greater boost to attack power, and a few defensive weapon skills, but with a bigger sacrifice to magic power, meaning Bird of Prey may be preferred if players do not wish to miss out on as much of this potential but want physical damage. Bird of Prey has similar attributes to Twin Viper, where Twin Viper's weapon skills are less on chance-based critical hits and more on limit breaks. For more balanced weapons, the 4-Point Shuriken and Fuma Shuriken have entirely balanced attributes.
