Bind is a Black Magic spell that secures an enemy in one position. It prevents the enemy from moving, allowing a character to either avoid a physical attack or giving them a head start to run away.

When cast on an enemy, the Bind status has a chance to wear off when the enemy is directly damaged. Spell accuracy is most highly affected by Enfeebling Magic Skill, Magic Accuracy, and INT. The Bind scroll is dropped by many defeated low-level Quadav, as well as some Yagudo and Orcs.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance[]

Bind is an spell of the Judgemaster class, exclusive to Cid Randell, which inflicts Immobilize and Disable on a target. It costs 16 MP to use.

Bind is also used as a keyword for laws that include any ability that causes the Immobilize or Disable effects.

Dissidia Final Fantasy[]

Bind is a Brave attack for Shantotto that creates a field of energy around the opponent that holds them in place for several seconds but does no damage. Shantotto learns to cast Bind in the air and on the ground at Level 13, and it costs 20 CP to equip and 120 AP to master.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Bind is one of Shantotto's brave attacks, and now tracks the opponent longer before trapping them. It now costs 30 CP to equip and 80 AP to master.

Other appearances[]

Kingdom Hearts[]

Bind is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. When used, it holds enemies in place, although they may still attack from their position.
