The Big Horn (ビッグホーン, Bigguhōn?), also known as the Bighorn or Gigan Rhino, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy II. It appears as a large rhinoceros or bull.

Final Fantasy II[]

The Big Horn, also known as a the Gigan Rhino, appears as a boss encountered in the Tropical Island. It can later be encountered as a regular enemy around Mysidia, the Cyclone, and after obtaining the Ultima Tome, around Altair, the Dreadnought area, Poft, and the Snowfield. It generally attacks in packs of 2–4 and uses regular physical attacks to trample the party.
Final Fantasy V[]

The Big Horn appears as an enemy encountered in the Carwen region. It is a strong foe, having high physical attack, but will run away if attacked by a Fire spell.
Final Fantasy XVI[]
The Bighorn appears as an enemy encountered in the Coeurltail Falls region of Rosaria and the Fields of Corava region of Dhalmekia. Its appearance is based on the buffalo from Final Fantasy XIV.
